I have followed and supported the professional networking group ‘Women in Localisation’ since its inception. The more honoured I felt to be asked to kick of the organisation’s first speed mentoring event in Dublin, Ireland.

Women in Localisation started out as an idea of three friends of mine, who were fed up with discrimination against women in the workplace. Localisation is a business that is dominated by women, but to this day, women make less money than men and they are underrepresented in executive positions.

Today, this organisation supports and promotes thousands of women worldwide. And the really amazing part of the story is that is totally volunteer based and operates on the principle of social accountability.

A great case study and lesson in leadership. Check them out here.
